There are few stories as pure and majestic in rock and roll as The Band’s. Before the success of their debut album, 1968’s Music from Big Pink, Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, and Rick Danko, were the guys behind the guys — first the Canadian rockabilly singer Ronnie Hawkins, and later Bob Dylan for a couple world tours and The Basement Tapes.
Then with Big Pink, and their follow up albums, The Band (1969), and Stage Fright (1970), “the band” famous for playing behind the more famous, finally became The Band with their own outright hit songs and headlining concerts. Perhaps it’s all best captured by Martin Scorsese in The Last Waltz, a filmed concert of the original member’s final farewell concert.
If you like vintage band tees, you are going to love our collection of authentically licensed mineral wash band T-shirts. Made from heavyweight 100% cotton, this vintage inspired unisex T-shirt is washed with natural enzymes, resulting in a broken-in feel, just like a T-shirt that was washed or worn for a decade or two. No two shirts are exactly alike, as they are hand-dyed and one-of-a-kind, and you will enjoy each for its own uniqueness! Machine wash cold, inside-out, with like colors, and dry low heat.
